MA Registered Psychologist
My passion for helping others started with working in homeless shelters. This experience instilled a passion to hear people’s stories and recognize each person as unique and valuable. One of the most difficult times that has shaped much of my journey as a therapist is my own journey being diagnosed with a critical illness near the end of my graduate training in 2014. This was one of those phone calls that I would have never imagined. It is through this challenging circumstance I was able to grow as an individual in walking through my own journey of healing, benefitting from some of the same evidence based practices I can now use to help others. I believe that it has helped me to gain insight into how it may feel to have life throw you a curve ball that you didn’t expect and the challenges of re organizing the self-afterwards.
