MA Counselling Psychology Student
Hello! I am Brian, I start my Practicum this January with iMentalHealth as a practicum student and will be offering to see people at a reduced rate for online therapy.
BSW, RSW, Masters in Counselling Psychology(Student)
I am a humanistic therapist with a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) and currently pursuing my Master’s in Counseling Psychology (MACP). My passion lies in fostering authentic connections and supporting individuals on their unique journeys toward self-discovery and personal growth.
I believe in the inherent worth and potential of every individual. Rooted in humanistic principles, my therapeutic approach is centered around creating a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship that encourages self-exploration and personal development.
Areas of Focus:
I have experience in helping people change their relationships with substance use or other behaviors that may be getting in your way. I am trained to support people in navigating and recovering from their traumatic experiences, with training in TF-CBT and EMDR.
I also focus on helping people untangle the knots of their early attachment relationships, so we can choose how we are engaging with family, friends, and colleagues in the here and now.
I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and empathy. My goal is to empower individuals to tap into their own strengths and resources, facilitating a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
Inclusive and Affirming:
I am committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for clients of all backgrounds and identities. Embracing diversity, I strive to create an environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
